Steps to career path

A SEVENOAKS Senior College student will have help chasing her dreams, thanks to support from the Graham Polly Farmer Foundation.
Rebekah Delaney is one of 16 students across the country selected for the Follow The Dream program at the University of Sydney.
The teenager will participate in the Bunga Barrabugu Summer Program, which enables Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students to experience university life.

Miss Delaney said she was really excited when she discovered she had been accepted into the program as she plans to study at the university.
“I will be moving to Sydney at the end of Year 12 and I wish to enrol there at the University of Sydney,” she said.
“This program will be a wonderful opportunity for me to gain first-hand information about the courses, meet staff and current students, and get a feel for university life.”

Students can choose to get involved in a variety of learning streams, including architecture, visual arts, education, social work, engineering and medicine.
