Project Background
The Garnjurri Mirnumurri Ngurr-unga establishment stage commenced in October 2000 via a public meeting held within the township of Tom Price that discussed the issues relating to Aboriginal Education. The first Steering Committee meeting was held in December 2001 where representatives from the major stakeholders undertook responsibility to govern the project. A Project Leader was appointed in February 2002 and students began attending the Enrichment Centre in June 2002.
