The Mandurah / Pinjarra Partnership is a partnership between The Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation, the Western Australian Department of Education and Training, the Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, ALCOA of Australia, and local Community Members.
Project Background
With the support of ALCOA of Australia and Western Australian Department of Education and Training and the Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations a Partnership commenced in 2005 following detailed discussions with the local Aboriginal parent and education community.
STEERING COMMITTEE
A Steering Committee oversees the project and provides strategic level management. The Steering Committee includes representatives from all Partnership organisations:

STUDENTS AND THEIR ENRICHMENT CENTRE
The Partnership operates from facilities supplied by Peel Senior Campus, which include study, tutoring, internet and kitchen facilities. Students attend for a minimum of two and maximum of four afternoons per week. Enrichment and extension activities occur during some weekends and holiday periods. All students have an Individual Learning Plan and associated personal tutors.
There are 22 students from five secondary schools. Since its inception in 2005 the Partnership has graduated 12 students, 4 of whom have gained Tertiary Entrance, 6 of whom have gained traineeships/apprenticeships or entry to TAFE and 2 to direct employment.
