Carnarvon Partnership for Success

The Carnarvon Partnership for Success is a partnership between the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation, the WA Department of Education and Training, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Rio Tinto (WA) Future Fund, Dampier Salt and the local Aboriginal Community.

Project Background
Prior to commencing the project a consultation process was undertaken. This involved the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation consulting parent groups, supporters, government agencies and local schools. It also involved a public forum for Indigenous parents.

The Carnarvon Partnership for Success project commenced in November 2004.

STEERING COMMITTEE
A Steering Committee oversees the project and provides strategic level management. The Steering Committee includes representatives from all partnership organisations:

  • The Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation
  • Dampier Salt
  • Rio Tinto (WA) Future Fund
  •  Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations 
  • Western Australian Department of Education and Training
  • Community organisations (Karu Aboriginal Corporation) 
  • Community members
