The Alice Springs Partnership for Success is a partnership between the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation, the Northern Territory Department of Education, Employment and Training, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Centrecorp Aboriginal Investment Corporation and the local Aboriginal Community.
Project Background
Centrecorp, Aboriginal Investment Corporation, based in Alice Springs, invited the Foundation to prepare a proposal for presentation to the Alice Springs Indigenous Employment Project, Task Force. That proposal was presented and discussed widely in the Alice Springs community. Once it was agreed that a Partnership for Success project should be established in Alice Springs the Northern Territory Government, the Australian Government and Centrecorp agreed to provide the resources required.
The students were selected in June and the project commenced in July 2007.
STEERING COMMITTEE
A Steering Committee oversees the project and provides strategic level management. The Steering Committee includes representatives from all partnership organisations:
